Children’s Acrylic Painting Workshop with Camila Quintero (School Grades 3 to 7)
Camila Quintero will introduce participants to key acrylic painting techniques for painting from life. Children will then explore these techniques in creating their own acrylic painting. A one and half hour structured workshop introducing acrylic painting, step by step will be followed by a break. Then a further one and half hour studio art style session will continue, whereby children will be encouraged to explore the making of their own acrylic artwork.

Camila Quintero will introduce participants to key acrylic painting techniques for painting from life. Children will then explore these techniques in creating their own acrylic painting.
A one and half hour structured workshop introducing acrylic painting, step by step will be followed by a break. Then a further 75 minute studio art style session will continue, whereby children will be encouraged to explore the making of their own acrylic artwork. All sessions will also be supported by artist Rina Kondakova.
This workshop will be limited in places to ensure Camila can offer one-on-one tuition for each student.

Camila Quintero (MA in Fine Arts from RMIT Australia, BA in Fine Arts from Universidad Nacional Colombia) specialises in painting and drawing.
Maria Camila Quintero was born in Medellín, Colombia, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Camila then travelled to Australia in early 2017 to undertake her Master’s degree at RMIT, completing her degree with Honours.

This is a specialised course in painting and drawing for children in school grades 3 to 5. It is an ongoing course which focuses on the development of foundational techniques for painting and drawing, combined with a mentoring style support for children producing their own artwork. Participants can work in the drawing or painting media of their choice. Teachers will also work with parents and guardians to find the right balance of technical/ creative for their child.

This is a specialised course in painting and drawing which focuses on the development of foundational techniques, combined with a mentoring style support for children and teens producing their own artwork. These classes are for students who are interested in creating outside of regular school hours and would like to further develop their artistic skills. We aim to nurture our students’ natural artistic ability and interests, whilst also teaching the fundamentals of art practice.

Rachael Hammond specialises in detailed illustrations of animals. During this workshop Rachael will guide students through the making of an illustration of an animal. She will demonstrate some of the techniques she uses in various media including watercolour and colour pencil.
