THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN CANCELLED, HOWEVER WE ARE ACCOMODATING THESE YOUNGER GRADES IN THE AFTERNOON WORKSHOP OF THE SAME DESCRIPTION.

Level: Beginner/Intermediate/All levels
Ages: This workshop is for children in School Grades 3 to 5

 

Introduction to Portraiture Drawing Half Day Workshop

  • Date: Monday 19th December, 2022
  • Time: 9:00 am – 12:30 pm (3.5 hours)
  • Location: MAC Elgin Studio – Level 1, 73 Burwood Road, Hawthorn
  • Course fee: $109 inc. GST

 

Artist and MAC teacher Camila Quintero will work with participants to set the foundation for drawing the portrait. Students will be introduced to the process of drawing the portrait including:

  • Drawing fundamentals
  • Basic principles of portraiture
  • Understanding proportions of the face, eyes, nose, mouth and ears
  • Understanding the form of the face

Camila Quintero (MA in Fine Arts from RMIT Australia, BA in Fine Arts from Universidad Nacional Colombia) specialises in painting and drawing.

Maria Camila Quintero was born in Medellín, Colombia, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Camila then travelled to Australia in early 2017 to undertake her Master’s degree at RMIT, completing her degree with Honours.
