Manga is comics or graphic novels originating from Japan. The most common styles of Manga have become extremely popular among audiences all over the world and we see many children and teens experimenting with this style of art.
A one and half hour structured workshop will be followed by a break and then a further 75 minute studio art style session will continue, whereby children will be encouraged to explore the making of their own Manga artwork. All sessions will also be supported by artist and MAC teacher Camila Quintero.
Rina Kondakova is well known to regular students as our teacher’s assistant at Melbourne Art Class. She has been training in drawing, painting and portraiture since the age of 14 when she was first instructed by MAC founder Marco Corsini. In 2018, Rina won the Black Swan Youth Portraiture Prize for her age group. A graduate of VCASS, she is now part way through completing a Bachelor of Fine Art degree and completes a steady stream of commissions of her artwork.
