Join art conservator and artist Catalina Leichner and explore a range of art materials and techniques to gain a broad understanding of the different mediums you can use to create art.
During this workshop, Catalina will introduce you to different mediums and demonstrate techniques which you will be able to practice in the course.
You will explore the following mediums, including brushes, paper, canvases and associated artists’ tools:
Catalina will offer you tips and you will have the opportunity to ask her any questions about particular mediums in which you are interested in,
As an art conservator, Catalina is knowledgable in the technical and historical aspects of art materials and will reference these aspects of the materials.
We welcome complete beginners and more experienced artists who need a day to reconnect with materials. We maintain small class sizes to ensure Catalina can offer one-on-one tuition for each student.
About Catalina
Catalina Leichner is an Argentinian artist from Buenos Aires who specialises in watercolour and oil painting. She holds a Bachelor in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage – UMSA (University of the Argentinian Social Museum). Catalina has worked as a restorer and conservator for National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aries for the past 7 years and has also run regular watercolour workshops.
