An introduction gouache painting taught by artist and art conservator, Catalina Leischner.
This course will introduce participants to key techniques for gouache, a water based paint often used on paper. As an experienced gouache artist, Catalina will lead participants through a series of exercises to generate artworks which make the most of this popular medium. Catalina will also focus on core skills associated with drawing and painting.
We welcome all skills levels, from complete beginners, to more experienced artists. We maintain small class sizes to ensure Catalina can offer one-on-one tuition for each student.
As a art conservator, Catalina is knowledgable in the technical and historical aspects of painting and will reference these aspects of the painting practice.

About Catalina
Catalina Leichner is an Argentinian artist from Buenos Aires who specialises in gouache, watercolour and oil painting. She holds a Bachelor in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage – UMSA (University of the Argentinian Social Museum). Catalina has worked as a restorer and conservator for National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aries for the past 7 years and has also run regular watercolour workshops.
