This course will assist beginner and intermediate artists in developing fundamental life drawing techniques.

This course will be taught by experienced Artist and Teacher David Hamilton. David has a wealth of experience to share with Melbourne Art Class students. David has a long teaching history at RMIT and Monash University and has had an impressive career as an artist for over 30 years. David’s courses at Melbourne Art Class are always well received, students enjoy David’s calm nature and willingness to share his knowledge.

The program is a studio-based class that mixes personalised tuition with a program of short presentations. A wide range of mediums are available, including drawing and painting in both oils and acrylics. It would be suitable for anyone who is interested in a class that develops observational skills and fundamental artistic skills while maintaining a degree of flexibility for creativity.

An illustration and watercolour workshop with an 'Australian Birds' theme, designed for school children in Grades 3 to 5 and taught by Olivia York, a Melbourne-based artist and illustrator who specialises in watercolour and Australiana illustration.
