Join a fascinating Australian artist and illustrator in our Introduction to Watercolour and Gouache Workshop whilst painting Australian Flora and Fauna. Olivia York will take students into her world of  illustration using Watercolour and Gouache during this one-day workshop.

Students will delve into the foundational techniques of watercolour, from mastering colour mixing and brush handling to understanding washes and water control. Through a series of step-by-step demonstrations and personalized feedback, participants will uncover the secrets to crafting beautiful and expressive illustrations.

Throughout the day, students will experiment with Olivia’s own designs and illustrations. No prior experience is required – just bring your enthusiasm and imagination! Join us for a day filled with artistic exploration and discovery.

Suitable for all skill levels, this class is a good balance of the technical and creative. Olivia strives to help build creative confidence and technical ability. Places will be limited to ensure Olivia can offer one-on-one tuition for each student.

Olivia York is a Melbourne-based artist and illustrator, with a passion for Australiana. She creates witty and whimsical watercolour animal characters, which have been featured in books, packaging, homewares and even a food truck.

Her products have been featured in several tv shows, books and magazines including Better Homes and Gardens, Frankie magazine and Koala (Thames & Hudson). Olivia has collaborated with such brands as House, Lalaland, Nutella and Auspost.
