Introduction to Watercolour Short Course with Olivia York

• Location: MAC Union Studio (Level 1, 85 Union Street, Armadale)

This workshop is presented by artist Olivia York. Students will be introduced to materials and watercolour painting techniques such as colour mixing, laying washes, colour glazing and lifting out, to set the foundation for watercolour painting.

Participants will experiment with techniques that are discussed and demonstrated during class in a relaxed and collaborative environment. They will also have the opportunity to complete several artworks during the course.

All materials are provided.

We maintain small class sizes to ensure Olivia can offer one-on-one tuition.

Olivia York is a Melbourne-based artist, illustrator and Australiana enthusiast. She creates witty and whimsical watercolour illustrations, inspired by our Australian flora and fauna. She has produced illustrations for a range of applications, including children’s books, food trucks, homewares, clothing and most recently a mural.

Her products have been featured in several tv shows, books and magazines including Better Homes and Gardens, Frankie magazine and Koala (Thames & Hudson). Olivia has collaborated with such brands as House, Lalaland, Nutella and Auspost.
