Afternoon Drawing Masterclasses with Marco Corsini
Three unique drawing workshops for Teens will be taught by artist, teacher and MAC founder, Marco Corsini.
Students will be introduced to powerful drawing techniques that will be of great benefit to developing artists. With a focus on the perception of a three-dimensional world, these intensive are designed to train your brain to see.
Founder and Director of Melbourne Art Class, Marco Corsini will draw on his extensive experience of working with beginner artists to set the foundation for a new way of seeing and drawing from life. Teens will explore fundamental techniques and tools and refine your drawing skills with this extremely experienced, highly regarded tutor.
Places will be restricted to ensure one-on-one tuition. You can see more artwork produced in previous drawing classes here.
The workshops will be:
Monday, Drawing fundamentals.
An introduction to the tools for seeing. Students will be working from Still life.
Tuesday, Understanding light, form and texture
Students will be introduced to the theory of light, three dimensional form and texture. Using several mediums and working from objects, Marco will guide students through drawing exercises that will allow the development of drawing techniques that describe all these elements.
Wednesday, Portraiture drawing
Marco will use plaster head busts and live models to demonstrate a structural approach to drawing the face. He will discuss how to accurately structure a face and how to perceive tone, form and colour in the face.
Students for this portraiture workshop will need to have either previously undertaken a workshop with Marco or have attended his term of classes.

Award-winning sumi-e (Japanese Ink) artist, Junko Azukawa has been hosting sold out workshops at Melbourne Art Class for over 4 years and we are thrilled for be able to offer these workshops for children from January 2022. Sumi-e is the ancient art of Japanese brush painting. Traditionally, paintings feature subjects from nature, such as flowers and birds.
