Level: Beginner/Intermediate/All levels
Ages: This workshop is for children in school grades 8 to 12. Younger children can enroll in Manga for Grades 3 – 6, or Manga for Grades 5 – 8.

Manga is comics or graphic novels originating from Japan. The most common styles of Manga have become extremely popular among audiences all over the world and we see many children and teens experimenting with this style of art.
Camila Quintero will introduce a brief history of Manga and will then step participants though the fundamental elements of the Manga style. She will guide students to develop their own Manga self portrait character during this positive, fun and supportive workshop.
Each workshop will be limited to ten places to ensure Camila can offer one-on-one tuition for each student.
Camila Quintero is a Colombian born artist based in Melbourne who specialises in drawing and painting. She holds and MA in Fine Arts from RMIT Australia, and BA in Fine Arts from Universidad Nacional, Colombia.

An illustration and watercolour watercolour with an 'African Animals' theme, designed for school children in grades 3 to 5 and taught by Amanda Weatherlake, a Melbourne-based artist who specialises in watercolour wildlife illustration. Camila Quintero will introduce participants to key acrylic painting techniques for painting from life with a focus on colour; colour mixing, tonal value and application. Children will then be encouraged to explore these techniques in creating their own acrylic painting.
