Learn Drawing Fundamentals
Level: Beginner / Intermediate/Experienced
Ages: This course is designed for adults
5 week short course
Drawing serves as the cornerstone of artistic expression. In this course, we embark on a comprehensive exploration of drawing, with a strong emphasis on mastering its fundamental principles.
Led by Camila, each class offers an immersive drawing experience. Participants engage in observational drawing exercises that span diverse contexts—from studio settings to street scenes. Camila serves as a steady guide throughout this ongoing program, allowing participants to navigate various drawing techniques and experiment with different materials.
To ensure personalised tuition, class sizes are intentionally kept small. This intimate setting fosters one-on-one guidance, allowing Camila to provide individualised teaching and support to each participant as they progress on their drawing journey.
This course will be taught by experienced Artist and Teacher Camila Quintero. Camila Quintero (MA in Fine Arts from RMIT Australia, BA in Fine Arts from Universidad Nacional Colombia) specialises in painting and drawing.
In 2014 she was awarded the Best Thesis Project Of Arts at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, as well as the Nacional Art Residencies Open Call Winner from the Ministry of Culture, Colombia.
More recently, she has been awarded the Mary Oliphant Best Tutorial Award for her project Gut Stories At RMIT University, and the 2019 SITUATE studio residency award at the RMIT SITUATE studios in Melbourne.
We are also running this course on Mondays and Tuesdays at Glenferrie Studio (Hawthorn)
