Drawing Workshop: Structure and Value using Ink and Shellac

This one-day drawing workshop will focus on the development of participant’s drawing knowledge and technique through the process of creating one drawing using mixed materials.

It will primarily focus on structural drawing techniques and describing value or tone and is open to all skill levels.

During the workshop you will learn the following:

  • The day will begin with the completion of the first stage of the drawing as a structural drawing.
  • Value will then be introduced using ink washes and later the entire drawing will be sealed with a shellac layer.
  • It will then be ready to further develop during the afternoon with another layer of charcoal and pastel.
