Graeme is a key Australian figurative painter and printmaker. His works can be described as disconcerting and often flirt with the surreal; even with the addition of a title, many of his paintings leave you questioning.

Graeme is represented by Australian Galleries where he has had seventeen solo exhibitions since 1990. His work is held in the collections of Artbank, Newcastle Regional Gallery and the Bundanon Trust.

Graeme was a finalist in the Rick Amor Self Portrait Prize in 2019. He was a finalist in the 2018 Archibald Prize for Portrait of Michel (pictured below). Graeme was also a finalist in the 2017 Doug Moran National Portraiture Prize.
