Creative Beginnings – Introduction to Art Therapy Workshop with Jaana Sahling

Level: Beginner

In Term 2, 2020 we are offering some courses online, see all the details here.

April Morning Workshop

  • Dates: TBC
  • Time: TBC
  • Location: MAC Hawthorn Studio, 817B Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn
  • Course fee: TBC

Through the guidance of Art Therapist, Jaana Sahling, participants will get to explore various media and learn more about the inner narrative within their personal art making process.

Art therapy is for self-exploration, as no-one else can interpret your artwork; only you know what you think and feel and express through the art.

This workshop focuses upon playful creative and personal expression. This workshop is well suited to anyone who wants to slow down and connect with their inner self, with others and with their surroundings.

Jaana Sahling is a specialist in the creative process and holds an MA in Experiential and Creative Arts Therapy (MIECAT) and a BA in Fine Arts (Nottingham Trent).

No creative ability is required for Art Therapy, it is more about drawing a
colour, shape and/or symbol to represent a feeling, not the outcome of the
artwork.

If you are looking for art instructional courses, please see our current courses for a more appropriate class.
