A Flora and Fauna Illustration course by artist and illustrator, Olivia York, focusing on the application of gouache and watercolour.
Learn how to build texture, mix colours, perfect proportion and create a composition, inspired by the natural world. Learn tips and tricks for sketching and painting animals and flowers, with a particular focus on Australian wildlife and plants.
Small classes mean this course can be led by the individual interests and goals of its students and Olivia will offer personalised assistance informed by the participants individual goals. Olivia aims to build confidence and help students find their own illustration style. Students will experiment with techniques that are discussed and demonstrated during class and students will have the opportunity to apply them to the artwork they create.
We welcome all skills levels, from complete beginners, to experienced artists who need a space and dedicated time to create. We maintain small class sizes to ensure Olivia can offer one-on-one tuition for each student.
