This course expands on base skills and broadens conceptual knowledge of painting. Suited for anyone who has had a small amount of painting experience or has completed a MAC Introduction to Painting or Painting Level 1 course.
Our Studio Art Courses are the foundation of Melbourne Art Class. In these classes you have the freedom to work on your own projects, or our Still Life display with guidance from an experienced teacher and professional artist.
Director of Melbourne Art Class, Marco Corsini, will present a watercolour workshop exploring basic watercolour painting techniques such as colour mixing, laying washes, colour glazing and lifting out.
Award-winning Japanese Ink (sumi-e) artist and teacher, Junko Azukawa, will guide you through painting four traditional images that contain the basic strokes that every sumi-e artist masters: The Four Gentlemen.
Join Junko, an award-winning shodo and sumi-e artist over three hours. She has exhibited widely in Japan and Australia, and her work, Bamboo Grove and the dragonfly, is in the permanent collection at the National Gallery of Victoria.
