Our Studio Art Courses are the foundation of Melbourne Art Class. In these classes you have the freedom to work on your own projects, or our Still Life display with guidance from an experienced teacher and professional artist.

Director of Melbourne Art Class, Marco Corsini, will present a watercolour workshop exploring basic watercolour painting techniques such as colour mixing, laying washes, colour glazing and lifting out.

Award-winning Japanese Ink (sumi-e) artist and teacher, Junko Azukawa, will guide you through painting four traditional images that contain the basic strokes that every sumi-e artist masters: The Four Gentlemen.
The course will be taught by portraiture artist, and teacher Marco Corsini. Students will be introduced to the process of portraiture painting. This is a technical course where you will be painting from two live models.
This workshop is for students who have attended a course with Junko previously, as she will building upon the foundational skills learned in beginners workshops.
Suited for anyone who has had a small amount of painting experience or has completed a MAC Introduction to Painting or Painting Level 1 course. This course expands on base skills and broadens conceptual knowledge of painting.
This course is designed for people who are looking to learn the fundamentals of painting. Learn about colour mixing, mediums, glazing and composition and create a painting over five weeks.
A class to establish and explore the fundamentals of painting by working from Still Life. Your teacher will combine live painting presentations with personal tuition.
