Still Life is an important genre for painters; through it you explore composition, value or tone, colour, space, light and the representation of texture. It can be the foundation of your art practice, or a complete and fascinating subject in itself, plus many of technical problems in painting can be resolved with Still Life practice.

This class is open to students from secondary school age onwards and welcomes all skill levels.

*You will be provided with small canvases of up to 40 cm; if you would like to work larger, please bring along a canvas. If you have materials you currently use, please do bring them along, otherwise, all basic painting materials are supplied.
