About this course:

Welcome to “Creative Pause,” a 5-week mindfulness art group where we invite you to explore the intersection of creativity, mindfulness, and well-being. Led by experienced art therapist Jaana Sahling, this transformative experience offers a safe space for self-care, connection, and playful creative exploration.

In each session, we’ll carve out intentional pauses to reconnect with our senses, anchor ourselves in the present moment, and delve into mindful mark-making. Through guided breath work and sensory exercises, we’ll cultivate a deeper awareness of ourselves and our surroundings, fostering a sense of calm and presence.

About Art Therapy:

Art Therapy is for creative and personal expression, well suited to anyone who wants to slow down and connect with their inner self, with others and with their surroundings. No creative ability is required for Art Therapy, and you do not require any prior art making knowledge or experience. Art therapy is primarily for self-exploration. As no-one else can interpret your artwork; only you know what you think and feel and express through the art.

This course is not for learning new technical skills, so if you are looking for art instructional courses, please see our current courses for a more appropriate class.

Class places are limited to ensure one-on-one tuition.

Jaana Sahling is a specialist in the creative process and holds an MA in Experiential and Creative Arts Therapy (MIECAT) and a BA in Fine Arts (Nottingham Trent).
