Our Studio Art Class for teenagers will be taught by artist and experienced teacher Michelle Zuccolo.
This class is for students who are interested in creating outside of regular school hours and would like to further develop their artistic skills. We aim to nurture our students’ natural artistic ability and interests, whilst also teaching the fundamentals of art practice. You can see students’ work here.
Michelle is an award-winning artist and has over twenty-five years experience at various levels of education including secondary schooling, tertiary levels and in community art programs.
We highly encourage students to work on their own personal projects and explore their interests with guidance from Michelle in this class. For students who work better from a more structured approach to art training, Michelle will create specific exercises which often open up new, creative pathways for our students, as well as different approaches to art and (thinking.
During the term, Michelle will present various drawing and painting exercises whilst maintaining student’s creative freedom. Our small class size allows for one-on-one tuition and you will work closely with Michelle to develop your skills – in whichever medium you are interested.

“Yeah it was pretty good, [Michelle] taught me some accuracy skills in portraiture which I’ll try to use from now on, but still trynna make it a habit since I have been free-hand drawing all the time. It was challenging but I definitely perceive drawing differently now. Thanks for these lessons, they were challenging but also insightful!”
