Workshop

Be introduced to fundamental drawing and illustration techniques with Camila Quintero. Camila is an extremely experienced drawing teacher at MAC and her own art practice uses drawing and illustration techniques to juxtapose and mingle threads of image and thoughts to create multiple narratives.

Camila will guide students through some fundamental drawing techniques and processes as well as explain how they relate to her own art practice.

Camila Quintero

Camila Quintero (MA in Fine Arts from RMIT Australia, BA in Fine Arts from Universidad Nacional Colombia) specialises in painting and drawing.

In 2014 she was awarded the Best Thesis Project Of Arts at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, as well as the Nacional Art Residencies Open Call Winner from the Ministry of Culture, Colombia.

More recently, she has been awarded the Mary Oliphant Best Tutorial Award for her project Gut Stories at RMIT University, and the 2019 SITUATE studio residency award at the RMIT SITUATE studios in Melbourne.
