Children’s and Teen’s classes FAQ’s

Take a look at some of our FAQ’s below, or contact us if you have specific questions!

Q: “My child is a complete beginner, is it okay to enroll them”?

A: These courses are all beginner-friendly! We keep our class sizes small and have a teacher and teacher’s assistant for the younger age groups. Students get plenty of one on one instruction from teachers to guide them on their individual artist’s journey. Our years of experience have taught us that students are best supported when surrounded by like-minded and similarly-aged peers, so we recommend selecting the correct age group.

Q: “My child is in Grade 2, can I enroll them?”

A: Currently our children’s classes are for students in Grade 3 and up. As we focus on delivering quality art education to our students, our years of experience have taught us that students are best supported when surrounded by like-minded and similarly-aged peers. We suggest that students in Grade 2 try out our School Holiday Workshops in the second half of the school year and then joining the term classes from Grade 3.

Q: “Can I book a trial class?”

A: We recommend trying out our School Holiday Workshops as a trial class for the term classes. Our School Holiday Workshops run every school holidays (workshops vary), are run by the same teachers who teach the term classes, and are usually attended by many of the students who attend during the term. They are a fantastic way to check out Melbourne Art Class before booking in for term classes.

Q: “Do I need to provide art supplies?”

A: No, we provide these for you! Everything your child needs for their courses is supplied for you, included in the term course cost.

Q: “How many students per class?”

A: For our Children’s classes we have a maximum of 10 students per class, our Teen’s classes are capped at 12 students per class.

Q: “The class I’m looking at says ‘full’, what should I do?”

A: We offer children’s classes Monday through Saturday during the school term, so if the class you are interested in is full, please check availability on the other days. As we commit to small class sizes, we are unable to add additional spots to full classes. If there is not another suitable class available, you can ‘register your interest’ and we will let you know when new spots are available!
