Ages: Suitable for children in school grades 5 to 7
This is a specialised course in painting and drawing for children in school grades 5 to 7. It is an ongoing course which focuses on the development of foundational techniques for painting and drawing, combined with a mentoring style support for children producing their own artwork. Participants can work in the drawing or painting media of their choice. Teachers will also work with parents and guardians to find the right balance of technical/ creative for their child.
The course takes Melbourne Art Class’s focus on fundamental skills and creates a program suitable for the age group. You can see artwork produced in previous classes here.
Enrolments are capped at ten children. For these children’s classes, teachers generally works with the aid of an assistant. Courses run by the term. To find out more about this course or to discuss your children’s suitability please contact us through the contact page.
We also offer classes for children in School Grades 3 to 5 and Early Teens 6 to 10, and Teen’s in School Grades 8-12.
