Botanical Drawing with Watercolour
Level: Beginner/Intermediate
Ages: This workshop is suitable for children in school grades 5-8
One Day Workshop:
Children will be introduced to a greater awareness of nature and the artist’s need to observe carefully so as to gain a greater understanding of the physical characteristics of plants with precision. Botanical drawing focuses on accuracy; every leaf, petal, stem, and vein must be observed closely and recorded. Participant will also use watercolour painting to complete some of their work, with experience gained in colour mixing and rendering of plant textures.
This workshop is taught by Anna Parry. Anna is an experienced art educator, having worked in both Primary and Secondary schools.
