David teaches our Studio Art, Life Drawing, Painting, and Drawing Courses.
David Melbourne holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (Honours) from RMIT University and a Masters of Art by Research in Painting also from RMIT University, Melbourne.
David has a long teaching history at RMIT and Monash University and has had an impressive career as an artist for over 30 years. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with students at Melbourne Art Class.
“David Hamilton is a contemporary artist and art teacher who lives and works in Melbourne, Australia. His practice focuses upon painting and drawing, exploring the traditional genres of landscape, portraiture and still life.
He has exhibited his work in solo, group and and touring exhibitions including 8 X 8 IN 88 and The Matchbox Show (both curated by the late Artist Mike Brown) and with the former Stella Dimadis Galleries in Collingwood, Melbourne.
