Painting and Abstraction with David Palliser

Melbourne Art Class welcomes one of Australia’s most extraordinary abstract artists – David Palliser – to conduct a workshop series about working in abstraction.

Watercolour Workshop with Marco Corsini

Director of Melbourne Art Class, Marco Corsini, will present a watercolour workshop exploring basic watercolour painting techniques such as colour mixing, laying washes, colour glazing and lifting out.


Abstraction and Studio Practice with David Palliser

Japanese Ink Painting (sumi-e) Short Course with Junko Azukawa

Award-winning Japanese Ink (sumi-e) artist and teacher, Junko Azukawa, will guide you through painting four traditional images that contain the basic strokes that every sumi-e artist masters: The Four Gentlemen.


Introduction to Portraiture Painting with Marco Corsini

The course will be taught by portraiture artist, and teacher Marco Corsini. Students will be introduced to the process of portraiture painting. This is a technical course where you will be painting from two live models.

This course is designed for people who are looking to learn the fundamentals of painting. Learn about colour mixing, mediums, glazing and composition and create a painting over five weeks.


Drawing Bootcamp with Marco Corsini

Be introduced to some of the most powerful drawing techniques you will ever use. With a focus on the perception of a three-dimensional world this intensive is designed to re-train your brain to see.


Introduction to Life Drawing with Marco Corsini

This Introductory Life Drawing short course will focus on the fundamentals of life drawing. Every session is conducted with a life model. You will be introduced to various strategies and techniques for drawing the figure.


Japanese Ink Painting (sumi-e) Workshop with Junko Azukawa

Join Junko, an award-winning shodo and sumi-eartist over three hours. She has exhibited widely in Japan and Australia, and her work, Bamboo Grove and the dragonfly, is in the permanent collection at the National Gallery of Victoria.
