Ages: This workshop is for older children and young teens in school grades 5 to 10

This young teens Foundational 2 Day Drawing Workshop is a great opportunity for young teens to be introduced to effective observational drawing techniques with a focus on the perception of a three-dimensional world.

Observational drawing is a core skill in art education and practice. It sharpens the artist’s ability to see, with participants learning to notice subtle relationships between forms, shifts in light, and the way space operates in three dimensions.

This workshop will help participants develop accuracy, confidence, and a deeper understanding of form and structure.

This workshop will be taught by experienced artist and =teacher and Melbourne art Class founder, Marco Corsini.

About Marco

Marco founded the Enderby Studio Art Program in 2009 which later developed into what is now Melbourne Art Class. Marco specialises in painting and drawing and has exhibited in both Australia and Europe. He has been a finalist in several awards including the Rick Amor Drawing Prize and was the Chief judge for the 2021 Camberwell Art Prize. Marco has run creative workshops for many companies and has been an instructor for Google worldwide. Marco has taught in the Victorian school system and now focuses on supporting and empowering children, teens and adults in their creative journeys in our highly coveted term Studio Art classes where he provides valuable feedback and coaching to future and current artists.
