John is generally regarded as one of the group of artists who shaped the new aesthetic of the sixties in Malaysia. He has also been considered one of Malaysia’s leading playwrights. John was honoured with a retrospective at the Penang State Art Gallery in 2008.

Jun 4th Guest Speaker: Kevin Brennan on Berger’s, Ways of Seeing. Kevin Brennan has twenty five years experience in arts management and public policy. He currently lectures at the VCA and RMIT.

Jun 18th Geoff Stuart on the human brain, illusions, colour and art. Geoff Stuart (Assoc. Prof. at Latrobe and Melbourne Universities) has worked in neuroscience and psychology for 30 years. He has a PhD in visual illusions and a longstanding interest in colour perception.
