Join us for our Drop In Life Drawing classes at our beautiful Union Studio in Armadale, where artists of all levels can hone their skills in capturing the beauty of the human form.

Life drawing is a profound artistic practice that celebrates the beauty and intricacies of the human form. Whether you’re an experienced artist or just starting your creative journey, our classes are designed to inspire and challenge you.

Our carefully selected life models, guided by the Life Models’ Society guidelines, provide a diverse range of subjects, from nude to costumed sessions. Led by our dedicated and experienced instructors, you’ll refine your skills and gain a deeper understanding of anatomy, composition, and artistic expression.

In a supportive and inclusive environment, you can choose to work with our provided drawing materials or bring your own preferred tools. Embrace the opportunity to connect with fellow artists, all while honing your craft and sharing in the magic of life drawing.

How did some of the greatest artists of all time begin a painting? Contemporary painter Saffron Newey will lead you through the fundamentals of Grisaille, and demonstrate how artists such as Da Vinci, Titian, Vermeer and Rembrandt created such memorable work. A great course for beginners and those that are wanting to improve their painting.

Olivia will take students in school Grades 3 to 6 through the fundamentals of sketching animals, watercolour painting, gouache and colours, before supporting students in creating an animal or bird character of their own.

Founder and Director of Melbourne Art Class, Marco Corsini will draw on his extensive experience of working with beginner artists to set the foundation for a new way of seeing and drawing from life. You will explore fundamental techniques and tools and refine your drawing skills with this extremely experienced tutor.
