A portraiture in watercolour and gouache intensive taught by Catalina Leichner, Argentinian artist and Art Conservator who specialises in watercolour illustration.
Catalina will introduce students to key foundational techniques for using gouache and watercolour media.

Level: Beginner to Intermediate (some drawing or painting experience is desirable)
Ages: This course is designed for adults (Art students aged 15 – 17 may be able to attend, please contact to discuss suitability)
5 Week Course
A course by artist and art conservator, Catalina Leichner, focusing on the use of gouache and watercolour for portraiture.
The course will lead through the development of key foundational techniques for gouache and watercolour media. As an experienced watercolour teacher, Catalina aims to build confidence and help experiment with techniques that are discussed and demonstrated during class.
As an art conservator, Catalina is knowledgable in the technical and historical aspects of Watercolour painting and will reference these aspects of the painting practice.
We maintain small class sizes to ensure Catalina can offer one-on-one tuition for each student.
About Catalina
Catalina Leichner is an Argentinian artist from Buenos Aires who specialises in watercolour and oil painting. She holds a Bachelor in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage – UMSA (University of the Argentinian Social Museum). Catalina has worked as a restorer and conservator for National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aries for the past 7 years and has also run regular watercolour workshops.
