Join artist and RMIT fine art lecturer Saffron Newery for a unique Teen’s workshop. Unlock powerful techniques to enhance your artistic skills, delve into perceiving a three-dimensional world, and refine your drawing skills with Saffron's seasoned guidance.
Students will be introduced to drawing techniques that will be of great benefit to developing artists. With a focus on the perception of a three-dimensional world, these intensive are designed to train your brain to see.

3 day Painting Intensive Course with Marco Corsini
During the course
MAC Founder Marco Corsini will instruct Teens in the medium of oil painting and guide them through the key stages of making an oil painting.
Students will be work through these techniques, working from Still Life, photographic images and plaster casts. Marco will also discuss the key historical developments, styles and technical aspects of oil painting.
Whether aspiring artist or simply passionate about the art of oil painting, this course promises to be an educational and inspiring journey. Join us and let Marco be your mentor.
Materials can be provided but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
Marco Corsini (B.Ed. MCA UniMelb/VCA) is a landscape and figure painter and the founder of Melbourne Art Class. He has exhibited in both Australia and Europe. He has been a finalist in several awards including the Rick Amor Drawing Prize. He was the Chief judge for the 2021 Camberwell Art Prize. He has taught in the Victorian school system and is engaged to regularly teach in schools. Marco has run workshops and creative programs for companies such as the Coles group and Officeworks. He is an instructor for Google worldwide.

Students will develop a deeper appreciation for nature through the careful observation and accurate depiction of plants. Botanical drawing encourages precision and attention to detail, while also offering a calming, meditative creative process.

A wide range of mediums are available, including drawing and painting in both oils and acrylics. Suitable for high school students who are interested in creating outside of regular school hours and would like to further develop their artistic skills. We aim to nurture our students’ natural artistic ability and interests, whilst also teaching the fundamentals of art practice.
