Saffron's Teens Studio Art class, held on Tuesday afternoons at our Malvern Studio, guides teens in channeling their creative process. The goal is to cultivate their conceptual thinking, shaping it into a portfolio for higher studies.

Take a deep dive into the landscape and the classical techniques used by contemporary painter Sam Leach. He will lead you though the fundamentals of Grisaille, and demonstrate how artists such as Da Vinci, Titian, Vermeer and Rembrandt created such memorable work. A great course for beginners and those that are wanting to improve their painting.

Manga refers to comics or graphic novels that have their origins in Japan. The prevalent Manga styles have garnered widespread popularity worldwide, leading to numerous children and teenagers exploring this particular art form.

MAC Union Studio, Armadale and Glenferrie Studio, Hawthorn
This is a specialised course in painting and drawing for children in school grades 6 to 8. It is an ongoing course which focuses on the development of foundational techniques for painting and drawing, combined with a mentoring style support for children producing their own artwork. Participants can work in the drawing or painting media of their choice. Teachers will also work with parents and guardians to find the right balance of technical/ creative for their child.
