A Drawing short course tutored by artist, Adrian Stojkovich. Adrian introduces strategies and techniques for drawing from Still Life. This course will assist beginners in developing fundamental drawing techniques. The course is also well suited to people with some drawing experience who want to re-establish the foundations of their practice. Classes are held in Enderby studio, a historic church hall at 314 Church Street, Richmond.
Adrian Stojkovich is a Melbourne based contemporary artist (MFA, BFA, Victoria College of the Arts). Adrian has been a Metro 5 Award finalist. Adrian’s photo realist works are undertaken with a wonderful finesse and craftsmanship.
The classes are limited to ten places and enrolments will close when those places are filled.
Some areas covered:
- Drawing still life objects which are entirely white. Measuring by eye, using given angles and negative space. Creating a tonal drawing.
- Drawing using charcoal pencil. Considering the weight and strength of lines to convey a sense of form.
- Using washes of ink to block in areas of tone.
- Drawing fish using charcoal, coloured ink and heavy watercolour paper. Emphasis is placed on replicating textures and using the different materials together to create effects that replicate the texture of the fish.
