Parent-Child Pet Portrait Watercolour Workshop

Level: Beginner/Intermediate/All levels
Ages: This workshop is intended for parents and children in school grades 3 – 8 to attend together

  • Date: Thursday 11 April 2024
  • Time: 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm (2.5 hours)
  • Location: MAC Union Studio  | Level 1, 85 Union Street, Armadale
  • Course fee: $160 inc. GST for 1 parent / guardian and 1 child (inclusive)
    $65 for any additional person

This holiday season, seize the opportunity for parents and guardians to actively engage in a watercolor and gouache workshop alongside their children. Renowned Melbourne-based artist and illustrator, Olivia York, specializes in watercolor illustration and will be your skilled guide in this creative adventure.

This Parent-Child Pet Portrait Watercolour Workshop is open to individuals of all skill levels, and Olivia will actively assist you in capturing the unique personality of your pet through a one-of-a-kind portrait. All you need to do is bring an A5 or A4 printout of your pet or select from the provided photos.

The focus of this workshop is on actively developing key foundational techniques for illustration and watercolour. Both children and parents will work together, receiving guidance and support as you create.

Olivia is committed to enhancing creative confidence and technical skills for all participants. To ensure personalised attention, workshop spaces are limited, allowing Olivia to provide one-on-one tuition for each student.

Olivia York is a Melbourne-based artist and illustrator, with a passion for Australiana. She creates witty and whimsical watercolour animal characters, which have been featured in books, packaging, homewares and even a food truck.

Her products have been featured in several tv shows, books and magazines including Better Homes and Gardens, Frankie magazine and Koala (Thames & Hudson). Olivia has collaborated with such brands as House, Lalaland, Nutella and Auspost.
