Marco teaches traditional/proper painting techniques and methods from the basics, taking time to explain all facets of painting. I find the content inspiring and extremely beneficial to my art practice. I trust in Marco’s experience and knowledge and appreciate his very personable style of teaching.

This program is a studio based class for painters in both oils and acrylics. The program combines a series of presentations with personal tuition in drawing and painting. It is suitable for developing drawing and painting skills while maintaining a degree of flexibility for creativity. Participants are encouraged to develop drawing skills, conceptual understanding and technical proficiency in painting. An emphasis is placed upon working from observation and the initial development of drawing skills. Still Life, preparatory drawings and photographs are frequently used.The term program includes four sessions of working from a Life model in one pose.

This class is open to students from secondary school age onwards.
The course runs during school terms. Classes are held on Saturdays, 9.00 am – 11.30 am in Enderby studio, a historic church hall at 314 Church Street, Richmond. They are tutored by Marco Corsini, B.Ed. (Visual Arts) MA (Creative Arts), VIT registered and 2012 Rick Amor Drawing Prize finalist.
Some drawing materials are provided. Students will be eventually be required to provide their own painting materials although they are initially provided. Materials lists will be provided and materials packages can be purchased from a Richmond supplier.
