This is a specialised course in painting and drawing which focuses on the development of foundational techniques, combined with a mentoring style support for children and teens producing their own artwork. These classes are for students who are interested in creating outside of regular school hours and would like to further develop their artistic skills. Founder and Director of Melbourne Art Class, Marco Corsini will draw on his extensive experience of working with beginner artists to set the foundation for a new way of seeing and drawing from life.

Take a deep dive into the landscape and the classical techniques used by contemporary painter Saffron Newey. She will lead you though the fundamentals of Grisaille, and demonstrate how artists such as Da Vinci, Titian, Vermeer and Rembrandt created such memorable work. Melbourne Art Class students* can access the Melbourne Art Class studio and resources for a supervised but untutored session in the studio.
This class is a great option for students who want to finish a piece of work from their course, those who have missed a session during the term looking for some time to catch up, or just those looking for more studio time.

Melbourne Art Class offers private artist coaching and mentoring for those with a busy schedule, or who want to work outside of our scheduled classes in a one-on-one environment. For remote or international students, these sessions can be undertaken using Zoom.
